Green Lending | 2025For American Libraries’ Sustainability Issue, I worked with editors to curate a list of 20+ eco-friendly items that libraries around the country lend out Then I collaborated with David Alvarado who created this Richard-Scarry-esque world representing each one of them.
Reading Between the Bots | 2024For a package on Artificial Intelligence, I worked with Drew Bardana to create an image with multiple red flags of an AI-generated image: extra fingers, garbled text, etc.

Health Facilities Management | March 2015Part of a package for the Vista Awards which included an opening page and three spreads of winners. Each spread had a story, three sidebars and as many photos as would fit.

Chicago Baby | Fall 2008The biannual Chicago Parent supplement got a freshening up in 2008. Editorial content was reorganized into four categories covering pregnancy and the baby’s first year. Three short items on a right-hand page opened each section.
Chicago Parent | July 2007Chicago Parent’s special report on gang violence in Chicago needed a strong cover. Since the story focused on the death of one girl, it seemed fitting — for the first time ever and since — to have a cover without a child. Working with the editor and photographer, we finally settled on the empty swing signifying the absence of child.
